Composition About Volcano Rabbit
The Volcano Rabbit also know as Teporingo and Zacatuche is the second smaller rabbit in the whole world and lives in the mountains of Mexico,its cientifical name is Romeralagos Diazi,they weight is about 380 to 600g and they are 27 to 31,5 centimeters high,the Volcano Rabbit usually eats fresh grass and leaves from short grown plants and small bushes ,it leves 7 to 9 years,different from other rabbits they have small ears,short little legs and a thick fur and they always ''walk'' in groups of 2 to 5 buddies;Instead of beating its foot on the ground to warn others rabbits the Volcano Rabbit screams in a high pitched sound to warn the danger,they're more active during noon.
Talking in a more ''cientific'' way its habitat is in Mexico mountains above 3000 meters of the sea level,and they make holes in the ground to build their nests,now the moment we've been waiting for: The decline,guess what,who's the fault of Volcano Rabbit being endangered? Exactly who you are thinking: The Humankind (the most ''wild'' species),we are degradating its habit and target shooting them for fun,the people who live in the mountains are hunnting them all,and worst:neither the hunters or the natives eat the Volcano Rabbit,so we are putting this animal is danger just for our own fun,also when they reproduce 2 or 3 little bunnies are born.During the rainy seasons they usually eat corn and oat,the second ''thing'' that is putting this beautiful animal in danger is that they live in volcano areas so when the volcano is in eruption the devastation kills them all.
The protection organizations are searching for them to put on zoos,and trying to make people realize they are not pests and target shooting,they are part of our beautiful nature,that are just 400 to 550 as the estimate of 2004,they are mammals and belong to the Leporidae family,their predators are any carnavores i its region,WWF is not taking any positions about the danger of this species to extinct,so let's preserve our planet nature and animals.
